Welcome to our fourth JDV Tabata Workout – this time we’ve opted for a low impact workout which is great for anyone wanting to avoid any moves which are too intense on the joints, or for anyone new to Tabata. You’ll still get a great, total body workout which raises your metabolism and blasts body fat, so go grab some water and a mat or towel and join us!
Tabata training follows a specific protocol of 20 seconds maximal exercise with 10 seconds rest, repeated for four minutes at time. In this video we include two rounds so you get a full 8 minute workout. Tabata is a great way of improving your fitness levels, increasing your heart rate and boosting your metabolism during and after the workout.
Before you start the video, make sure you warm up your muscles and gradually increase your heart rate with several minutes of brisk marching or jogging on the spot, star jumps, or half star step outs; anything that gets you moving and increases your breathing and heart rate.
