Welcome to our first real-time workout! It’s not perfect but we hope you will enjoy working out with us for a full 8 minutes of Tabata. You don’t need any equipment, just some water and some determination!
Tabata training is a type of high intensity interval training (HiiT) following a specific protocol of 20 seconds maximal exercise and 10 seconds rest repeated for four minutes at a time – in this workout we include two rounds so you get a full 8 minute workout. Tabata is an amazingly effective way to improve fitness and burn fat – it will increase your heart rate and your metabolism – and the great news is that your metabolism will remain high for hours after the workout so your body will continue to burn fat.
Before you start the video, make sure you warm up your muscles and gradually increase your heart rate for several minutes with some jogging on the spot, star jumps, squat jumps, anything that gets you moving.
