Home Made Face Masks
We’ve put together these home-made face masks that are inexpensive and so easy to make. Why not take 30minutes out of your busy day to sit back and relax, in the bath, reading a book or listening to music, while nourishing your skin with natural ingredients.
Before applying make sure your hands and nice and clean, and apply to the forehead, cheeks, chin, nose and neck, avoiding the delicate eye area.
Honey and coconut
1 Tbs Coconut Oil
1 Tbs Honey
Mix together until well combined, lay back and apply to your face. It will be a little messy as the warmth of your face will warm the oil and make it runny, so we find it perfect to use just laying back and relaxing in the bath. Leave for 10-15 minutes and rinse off.
Coconut oil is great for the skin as it is absorbed easily, and will leave you silky soft and smooth. The honey is great for opening and cleansing the pores.
Warning- this facemask smells delicious- try not to eat it all before you apply!!
Banana Almond Mask
1 Ripe banana- mashed
1 Tbs Almond Oil
Mix the ingredients together and apply for 15-20 minutes- this is great for dry skin. Bananas are great nourishment for the skin and have been used by Caribbean and South American women for centuries as part of their skin care.
Yoghurt and Avocado
½ ripe Avocado- mashed
1 Tbs plain natural yoghurt
1 Tsp Honey
Mix all the ingredients together and apply for around 15 minutes before rinsing off.
Yoghurt is cleansing and softens your skin, and since it is slightly acidic is helps to exfoliate the skin and balance your skin’s natural pH level. Avocado is moisturising and excellent for dry skin.
